Sticker Shock

I converted the two .jpg images I posted for the Moathouse into PDF format and took those down to a local Fed Ex Office (formerly Fed Ex Kinkos) to see about getting a color print of them.
Unfortunately, due to the size of the files and the fact that Fed Ex charges about $7 per square foot, it winds up being somewhere over $100. That was a bit of a shock and disappointment.

Oh well, I guess I will have to just draw out the map on a square grid without all the pretty details and color.

  3. @bliss_infinite: One is about 57" x 55", the other was about 80" x 87" or thereabouts. The dungeon level map was too big for Fed Ex to print without reducing it. I wanted to keep it to scale for battle-map purposes, since they were created with a 1" square grid.

@Icarus: Thanks. I'll check out the link.

  4. Holy guacamole! That's a bit much. I hope you find an affordable alternative.

  5. @Christian: Thanks to Icarus, I did. That program posterazor really did the trick. Of course some of the overlapping on that program didn't quite line up in a few places. I'm sure its due to my noobishness working with that function. Also, I was under the mistaken impression that 1" square grid on the original images were 1". They are actually 1.4", so I had to reduce the image to 70% which did the trick. So now I do have a serviceable battle-map for the upcoming game.
